Milan Fashion Week
Milan’s Women’s Fashion Week just wrapped up a few days ago and some of my personal favorites showed up with some tremendous new designs. CIVIDINI, the house brought to us by husband-and-wife duo Piero and Miriam Cividni, brought wonderful texture and scale to the most traditional patterns. Polka-dots, plaids, and stripes were turned into grandiose and dazzling feats. Below are just a few examples of their use of gravity and weight to make something familiar beyond elegant. Note the common component in all of the jewelry: simplicity just almost overstated. Boldness is key in this collection and for all of us. This is a good reminder that you own your presence!
The team at Maryling created a stunning Mediterranean goddess-inspired collection with powerful black-and-white simplicity. These “goddesses” are absolutely stunning in the colorless power dresses with minor hints of color that are in such stark contrast to the cool greyscale that they may as well be Artemis’ bow. Remember your power!
Last, but certainly not least, Luisa Beccaria creates a mystical, other-worldly theme with soft colors and textures, that conversely create a powerful Queen of Hearts vibe in these models. Beccaria never fails to disappoint in sharing a vision of beauty and elegance and in this situation, did not disappoint. You can use your fashion choices to make your dreams a reality!
